Doubt it was that many, though it may have seemed like it as a kid, though!!! Very impressive to watch them take off!

Glasgow was the only b-52 base in Montana and only for 5 years or so. They only had a squadron of B-52s (15 or so) assigned and some KC-135 tankers. SAC had over 700 b-52s at one point but they kept them very spread out all over many different bases so as not to make too easy of a target.

Malmstorm still has lots of Minutemans, though!
