Speaking of cheap we had a telephone pole on fire 1.5 miles from my house last week and we lost power for three hours. I laid one of those blue free LED lights from Harbor Freight on my coffee table pointing towards the ceiling and it was still going strong three hours later. Worked like a charm.
those hobo fright light work SO good, i got 'em spread everywhere around the house and garage, and i make it a point to get more every time i'm near the store. same goes for those red/blue two pack tiny flashlights for less than $3. i have those everywhere as well.
