Well, it's all relative. I don't buy much of anything except Snap-On. Nothing wrong with buying good stuff. But I don't have piles of stuff still new in the wrapper. It's all been used at least once. If you can throw down the money for all that garage bling, great. But I've seen some guys have a first class rig like that full of new stuff, hand the Snappy guy most of his paycheck every week, live in a shack and drive an old beat up Saturn. Makes no sense.

Good tools are an investment. But if you ever want/need to sell them, the depreciation is murder. Especially on boxes. At this point I'm not above looking for mint used or new stuff for sale and let someone else take that hit. Used Snappy is still way better than new China junk.


If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.
