we have a small hand held induction heater at the new car dealership where i work.
it worked great for removing rusty bolts on gas than straps on my 2nd gen ram truck without worrying about melting the plastic gas tank. it took a whole 10 min to replace 2 gas tank straps using it while laying on the floor and using a floor jack to hold up the tank.
i also use it all of the time for removing bonded spoilers off tail gates.

the techs really like it when they have to replace rusty shocks.

i have a friend who works at another body shop across town. they use theirs to remove bonded glass including windshields without any damage to the glass or the flanges the glass its bonded to.

if you have never used a induction heater you will be amazed how good they work. they really save you a LOT of time instead of heating bolts up with a torch.
