Dang Shiloh, that's a tough pill to swallow. Been there done that myself. But at my age it has taken me 8 yrs to put things back together. Am sure you are getting lots of advice. So thought I would put a penny's worth in. Can't afford 2 cents. Just looking at your pics I see a couple things I would address. With the rpm you're turning I would look at rotating assembly weight. Maybe BM aluminum rods. I see a serious problem with the pistons. Heavy scuffing up by the ring grooves= bad skirt profile. Just trying to suggest changes I would look into. Not trying to be a know it all, ain't the brightest light in the room. But I've learned from my mistakes. Oh if you don't mind one more thing I would look into would be a center weighted crank.
