I ran both Indy intakes (open and dual plane) on the dyno when I broke in my 540 Hemi. Based on my wedge experience, the only reason that I tried the dual plane was because Indy said it would be the best choice on the street. They were right, the dual plane picked up a ton of torque across the band and only gave up 11hp up top. I was shocked!

When I have ran dual planes on my 440+ inch wedges, they were done by 5,000rpm, leaving a bunch of power on the table. The only exception being the 6bbl intake.

And my 1050 Dominator that Dominic did the metering blocks on runs and drives at least as good as any 4150 I have ever ran. It's all in the tune, not whether it is a 4150 or a 4500. Properly size the carb for the engine and get a good tune in it. And Dom is the man for the tune.
