..Well...from one mystery to another!!!....This '71 W100 I have has power steering...the old Garrison/Eaton style with hoses everywhere! The drag link has the valve built into it with 4 pressure hoses going to and from it. This drag ling appears to have 2 ends threaded onto it with adjustable sleeves like a tie rod would have. The rear link end is quite sloppy.Problem is, nothing in the parts book, and when you do find a picture of the link, it shows a set up like and old '50's truck that had just a stud and ball with socket type.
I really would like some opinions on how to source out the ends to this drag link (similar to the old Chevy 4x4 drag link ends). Of course, thread size and the taper on the stud would be critical. Any ideas??? Surely someone has come across this....
