Since the factory has too much yoke clearance on most cars. I would be tempted to try the longer driveshaft and check for clearance. Most literature will tell you 1.5" of clearance but most of the time that is more than necessary.

If a car sits low and there is very little clearance like 3/4". It will never get closer as the car's suspension compresses, only further.
