Thanks everyone. When I bought the truck years ago I replaced the rear brakes first thing...it was metal on metal...no pad left on the shoe. The previous owner had just replace the front brakes, so I never looked too closely at them. Through the past 8-9 years I've found SO MANY rig jobs on this truck...the previous owners favorite tool was duct tape.....Anyway, I guess I'm just going to take the front brakes completely apart and rebuild/replace everything. I'll check everything as I go....Strut bushing and frame, I had not thought of those, I'll definitely take a look while I'm there.
