The standard volume oil pump is all you need for a low RPM engine with normal bearing clearances. You might want to shim the spring to build a little more pressure but that depends on bearing clearances and oil viscosity. Sometimes you just have to try it to see what the engine needs.

I the OP's situation a HV will just be blowing oil through the bypass and wasting energy. You can spend money in a lot better places than a fancy oil pump on this type of build.
