Just trying to get some good advice from someone who has done this before I attempt it. The B body housings are not reproduced and are hard to find, so I am trying this way first. Pics of what I got and then the new one that is on the way:

I cut the old socket off with a cutoff wheel and worked the little pieces until the socket pieces came out of the housing. I cut the rear of the donor housing off and sliced the housing parts until they wiggled off the socket. I had one split on the socket flange and "screwed" it into the good housing like a screw. I slid the pig tail into a piece of conduit and used the tapered 1/2 drive sockets like punches to roll the crimped part back flat and then a kingpin that I had from a past project to flatten out the "ring" and get good contact for current.
