I found a surprise on the Daytona I bought.
The stock oil pump hits the steering linkage, where the filter mounts to the pump.
The stock unit is too wide at the filter boss. The pump itself clears fine, past the universal joint.

Does anyone make an oil pump cover to use a remote filter mount, but doesn't use the circle of the stock filter/mount?
I would prefer to not change the entire engine over to an external pickup system and pan.
The engine is built, dyno tested, and ready to race. And it doesn't turn over 6000ish RPM.
