i have a 500" motor in 3 of my street cars.i use indys r-1 cam in all of them.they do really well on the street.they have very good low end,and good top end.they idle really good too,900-1000rpm.also they are pretty easy on parts, like rockers and lifters.i do however have to change valve springs often, maybee every 1000-1500 miles.if you let them go,you will float the valves and break one of them.it happend to me about 4 months ago.it broke the head of a exhaust valve.i was wondering about the cm-1 cam on one of my 500" motors.i have a spare from changing to a cm-2 cam in my 572" motor.you say you did not like it?can you tell me more about how it did,and what you did not like?
