I was thinking of putting it up in front of the tank - is that not a good idea?
Car will be on the street also, so is it a good idea to hang down in back?
These pumps prefer to push the fuel , so the shorter distance they have to draw , the better they work
You get the surge from acceleration pushing fuel toward the pump so it will never starve as long as the pick up sees fuel.
A diaphragm style pump draws fuel better than these do , but I have yet to see one with a capacity anywhere near what I wanted.
It really doesn't hang down that far because I took a hole saw to the trunk floor.......the top of the pump and the wires are inside the trunk and if you stood it on the bumper , it still wouldn't hit the ground.
