On a pretty mild 542 with ez heads, going from 1-7/8” fenderwells to my dyno headers was a 40hp difference.



Yep that fender well header is a killer. Usually the tubes are long enough to plumb a corn field.

That hurt you more than the tube diameter. That and most FW headers have notoriously short collectors.
