Yes a 187 pan is thicker than a 402 pan. But a 66-69 hemi pan is thicker than a 402 also. They don't rub the drag link. They fit the car and dont hit anything.

I've seen the 187 pan rub on 1965 B bodies, also on the 1966 and up B bodies shruggy
Me thinks it depends on how old the motor and trans mounts are and the individual cars shruggy
