You can take some of the hit out with chassis and shock adjustment as well, but the clutch hitting the tire like that is usually too aggressive of a clutch tune.

What flywheel are you using and what's the gear ratios?


The car is one of the first Finnish purpose built drag cars, and I have restaured it externally and technically it pretty close to what it was in 1980-1981. The drivetrain parts have been collected from here and there, it's got leaf springs with long ladder bars and some Dodge ram van Konis in the rear,Just the way it was built. The flywheel is an aluminum one, and the clutch is called "axle killer", a twin 10" disc mcleod..., no adjustment there either. Maybe in the future I will upgrade it to this century as far as the clutch goes.
