Stock OEM computers installed on stock vehicles are by necessity, legal. Beyond this, the rule book is clear - the EFI must be closed, engine functions only. Monitoring vehicle performance criteria - wheel speed, driveshaft speed, G meter, etc., by the EFI, not allowed. That info can only be recorded by the data recorder, which can't be connected to the ignition except to record RPM.

NHRARacer has a list of accepted EFI controllers. The all-in-one controllers/data recorders aren't legal as I read the rule book. Especially if all of the driveshaft and vehicle speed sensors are hooked up.

As for enforcing any of this at the local track running a 10 grander, good luck.

If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.
