Sure thing, no problem. I'd suggest you wire brush the heck out of the threads, or better yet, run a die all the way up the threads before installation. It's always awkward putting a tank up, so anything you can do to make it easier is a good idea. I've even put a piece of plywood on a jack to hold the tank up while I start the nuts on the j-bolts.
