if you are just looking for general location to be able to quickly identify the small block transmission, the starter nose locator hole is approximately at the 4o'clock position from the centerline of the input shaft. the big block nose locator is at the 3o'clock position from the input shaft centerline. i may have the true blueprint position some where, but i'll have to look.
