Ted.. there is no best answer here.. its what will work easiest for you.. they both will do the same job if done right.. on my junk the pan is easier.. and smooths out the air flow under the car... for others the diapers are easier but make sure you get one that wont burn in high temp areas and no plastic strap connections.. I remember one that Hemi Fred had that has plastic parts that didnt last
