Iam to believe that a 1969 440 has a compression ratio of 10:1 to 10:5:1 ........how is that when the piston is down in the whole and the heads are open chamber ????......wouldn't the compression be like 9:2:1 ??
Not the four barrel magnum motors from the factory would be over 9.7to1, probably closer to 8.8 to 1
I've CC a lot of stock 906 heads that had 92.0+ CC per chamber and those stock magnum flat top pistons with no valve reliefs where down over -.030 in the hole
No where close to NHRA blue print specs.
