I had a similar issue a few years back on my '02. It would warm up then starting pinging under part throttle operation. I took it to a local ex Chrysler mechanic who determined it was the computer. For what ever reason it would move the timing around regaurdless of the inputs. My extended warranty was expired and at 40k miles bit the bullet for a reman computer. End of problem.
