Those straps are necessary when the pads are on the rear crossmember - there's too much rear end weight.


I knew that...sometimes you are just too literal. I used to work in a wrecking yard and when we moved the cars around, whether they were equipped with an engine or not, we would slide the forklift forks under the front of the car and wrap a chain on each side over the frame rail and around the fork to keep it from tipping over...you have no idea how much noise it makes when you drop a Buick on it's a$$ and have to explain that to the boss.
