Unless you are going to add headers, converter, and some gear a bigger cam is meaningless in a Slant and will probably slow you down.
You mean if I put a super6 intake and carb with the mild MP cam I have with stock manifold and 2 1/4" exhaust it will be a pig?
I thought it was designed with that in mind.
One thing you have to remember Rug, most any mild cam will not show much if any improvement over a stock cam.
For comparison, the smallest cam I will even bother putting in a Slant will have at least .500" lift. Anything lass than that is a waste of time to me.
You also have to remember that I have gone faster with a box-stock longblock than a lot of people have with "race" motors. The trick to making a Slant run is not necessarily in the motor itself, you can't stop at the firewall.
And yes, most anything that still has a Super Six on it will be a pig.
