If I am not mistaken the style valve that you may have is located on the heater core itself. Looks like your car has no A/C. I have a 68/69 B-body heater core. There is a lever that opens and closes the valve. A control cable connects to it. I can take pics of this valve for you tomorrow so can see what it looks like. The assembly you have pictured is not for the B-Body cars.
MY car IS an A/C car. The valve I have pictured is supposed to be a replacement water valve for a 69-71 A/C car and the description says it is manual but then also says it is vacuum operated. The part on the top appears that it is a vacuum apperatus.
