In the past I ran a 6 pack hood scoop that was not sealed with a 11' x 6' Tall K&N Filter. The filter was about 1/4" from the scoop. I installed a Pro Stock hood scoop. I am running the same filter but now there is an 1" to 1 1/2" above the air cleaner to the scoop. The bottom of the scoop is 5 inches off the hood in an attempt to get into the clean air as per an article that I saw written by Rick Jones. I am curious because every one talks about how there cars picked up when they sealed the scoop. Mine ran identical. Thinking it need to be jetted up. Also the car is horribly inconsistent so I am thinking it is lean.
