Do yourself a favor, bit the bullet and buy the kit. Alternator shouldn't be a problem as it is on the right side. P/S sits below the blower mount on the left side. I went to manual steering, so no problem for me. If you intend to run lots of boost ( over 15 psi ), you will need to run the belt tensioner almost to the stop ( use all the tension spring ).
