Ok guys,
Want to go to a 20x8.50 wheel on my 72 town and country. Currently running an 18x7.5 LX wheel with spacers.
What backspacing or offset should I run? I think they need to be as neutral as possible, most wheels ive looked at are -6 or +10 offset,
Also, opinions on tire size? currently running a 225/60R18 way too narrow for me, was thinking I could squeeze 275/45R20 on the rear but probably not the front.
My 71 Fury
easily swallowed up 275/60-15's up front. My 72 Charger had 295/50's. You've got lots ov room there man. Better yet, anything over 17" diameter clears the A-arm better, so more room yet. I've bolted on a random set ov 18x10" Mustang rims on the front ov my 70 Challenger, w 295's no less. Looked weird (sucked in too far), but moved fine.
I've seen a 69-71-ish Chrysler 2dr at shows (years ago, when i still went to shows), and it had pretty big 18"s all around. Same size all 4 too, i just forget what size.
If you cant get at
least 275 all around, your offset is wrong. Thats a big wheelwell.
