I should probably start a new thread instead of hi-jacking this one but since it concerns the painting of engines I'm going to ask...

How many people have powder coated their blocks, heads, intakes etc... instead of paint? I've painted my engine with single stage urethane numerous times and yes it looks really nice for the first year or two. That being said though after splashing some hot antifreeze on the paint it discolors and I've had a couple small spots peel where the a component wasn't obviously clean enough. I know paint can be touched up and I'm being anal here but it would seem like the powder coat option would give better longevity- or are there pitfalls?(other than cost)
