I'll bet most MP steel pans leak between the middle 2 front holes, I'm thinking about just making a 1/4" thick steel bar "straddle Plate" and use longer bolts. If it has the slightest bow it's a clamping issue.

I can assist you with that request.... callme

how hard is that material to cut ? i would feel better using the factory plastic gasket if the sealing ribs were lots bigger, but maybe just cut my own or wait until the "proto typing"[biggrin] is done.

It cuts real nice and clean.
When I make a gasket and have the pattern all drawn out on the material the first step is cut all the bolt holes with the proper sized punch. Then I'll cut out the center with a sharp utility knife. I cut about 1/2 way through the material on the 1st lap then the rest of the way on the 2nd lap, makes it easier to follow the line precisely. Then I'll cut the outer portion with a pair of scissors. A nice piece of MDF plywood on a solid surface makes things easier also.
