As I recall theres a technique to driving one especially making a rt hand turn. I was never good at it but it wasn't my vehicle. (Dads) Either come off the power before the wheels are turned and coast through it, or if you had to stop, stay back and release the brake and let the vehicle build a little momentum straight and not touch the gas until part way through the turn. The trick was to either unlock it by removing power or not applying power until it was turned. If it was under power going around the corner it would fight. I suppose a stick would be easier to manage than an automatic. The Bronco was auto.
