I was about to say this... It's the best way to check for blown plenum gasket. Look down the throttle body for oil puddled on bottom of intake.

Oil consumption is a good sign,but you don't know if your consumption is an external leak, valve seals, worn out rings, stuck open PCV, or blown plenum.
