I ran the old Isky 616/590 split duration solid lifter cam in my old bracket crossram 440 amd 426 motors, it was ground on 104 LSA and I would install it at 99 to 101 on the intake lobes thumbs That was using the old TRW, Speed Pro 11.25 to 1 pistons with the "286" (1962/1963 heads)M.W. heads(probally a true 11.0 to 1 comp. ratio confused) and both the 3447 and 3705 carbs. on the 1963 intakes up The bracket car weighed over 3750 lbs with me in it and the class car weiged about 200 lbs less, 8 3/4 and no cage. The bracket car had a Dana 70 in it with a full 12 point mild steel cage and sub frame connectors and so on shruggy The bracket car ran a best of 11.0 and the class car ran a best 11.20s back in the late 1980s shruggy The class car had a Mopar brand 2.77 low gear set in the 727 with 4.56 gears with lightweight spool in the 8 3/4 using 9x30 bias tires, the bracket car had a standard first gears set in the 727 and 5.13 gears with a posi in the Dana 70 and 12.25x31.25W Firestone slicks, those W tires are a lot bigger and heavier tire than the NHRA legal 9 inch Firestone tires where on the stocker shruggyI'm sure Isky will still grind you that cam scope It worked really well thumbs
IHTHs thumbs
