They do sit for most of the year but they both have fresh gas in them, at least relatively fresh. The 70 Hemi Challenger just filled up about 3 weeks ago and the T/A about 2 days ago. These are common problems w/vehicles that sit and even after 30-40 days I`ve seen varnish and plugged up carbs beyond anything but a rebuild..............just sent out two that were a mess.  Pump gas is crap and goes bad real fast. If they're gonna sit, get some sta-bil or mix in some race gas.
