There is a potential confusion in that
there is a six bladed " feathering" fan design that Mopar made
which has what i would call
"bent blade edges"
running from hub center to outer edge
that face the engine side.
As the rpm increases these aero-speak
"wing edge fences"
cause the blades to reduce their angle of attack,
move less cfm of air
and draw less horsepower.

I don''t think it was one of Chrysler Engineerings better ideas
but avoids the expense of a lock-up viscous clutch.

There is no doubt that adding the proper shroud helps with any fan design.
