Gary, while my story is not as sad as yours, I did work as the track reporter for both Edgewater and Tri-State from about 1980-94, had boxes full of photos all the greatest drag racers of the era as well as our local racers who many haved passed on since then. Nearly everything was destroyed when my basement was flooded in the mid '90's.

Bummer...I bet it was I think 97? when the big flood hit the area? I remember Mosteller rd getting flooded out. Like the Kenworth truck dealership and the Chex cereal plant. We provided emergency diesel fuel to the Chex plant, they threw away a huge huge warehouse full of Chex cereal. Many people ate tons of free Chex for months later. I brought them home in cases of 9 boxes like many others. Rumpke hauled them out in roll off boxes 24/7 for like 2 weeks.

BTW love that track down there in Kentucky, always friendly people there. Covered stands always seemed to amplified the engine noise. wave
