Good point on jack and lug wrench. Don't need to try doing a plug with the tire on the ground. I have neither in the car.
Any thoughts on the best compact portable chassis jack that one might use on uncertain surfaces? Perhaps carry piece of heavy duty plywood or some such to sit it on. Certainly no bumper jacks allowed, bottle jacks a bit problematic.
I've had good luck with the scissor jacks. A flat front tire can be too low to get the bottle jack under. Plus they're compact and lightweight.
