The simple answer is it is easier to replace the shock.I like to think the stock angle of the shock will help sway,prevent tire rub on the fender...
JMO.I would like to go this way.


If your concerned with other issues, then kick them
back a 1/2".. same angles... this should clear and
be the cheapest way out of the problem... will other
shocks help.. maybe be.. but I'm looking at what will
fix your issue

I am not so sure moving it back is a fix.The axle hit the rancho's and the tube is 2 3/4" and a QA-1 is 2" and who knows where it would stop[unsure]The inverted shock would give it the most clearance and may be equal to moving the shock back.The ranch tubes got dented 1/4" and I did not hit the tires hard full hook.
