Since you have a spare output shaft, put it back together and race a few weeks/months while you plan your next step.

I would be surprised if you have the exact same breakage anytime soon. It might not last 300 passes, or something else might give up... But at least you are racing right away.


Did some thinking and talking with a few board members, and with what I wanted to do with the car, I am going to just replace the shaft and try it again. I'll stick a smaller jet in the plate and cross my fingers that it lasts the rest of the season on a new shaft. It just sucks when racing season is only a few months because of the weather and you break and have to sit out to fix things, that is what I want to avoid, but breakage comes with the territory.

Should hopefully have this thing all back together by the weekend
