I would keep the EFI, there are lots of tricks to make it work faster. I tried bracket racing my 95 neon auto back in the day figuring it would be consistant since traction was no issue and the EFI would do the same thing every time... only if I kept it idling and hot between laps AND I reset the adaptive fuel right before every round, it would be faster if I opened the hood and let everything cool off but guessing an ET was a crap shoot. It was better than my 66 dart ever was though.
