I had Gary Stanton build mine. It's a world block 472. I stayed with standard bore and went with 4.125 stroke. This is a street motor that I just wanted a solid power plant that was a Hemi! They use Scat crank and rods. He also used Diamond pistons with 10.5 C/R. He used the new MP(Eddelbrock makes them if I'm correct) aluminum heads with 2.25 intake valves and 1.94 exhaust. I went with stock MP rocker gear. He put the biggest hydraulic flat tappet cam that comp grinds for him. I don't have the grind number handy, but it was a 108 LSA with around 580 lift and 249 duration @.050.. On top I have a street hemi 2-4 intake with 600 Eddy's. It dyno'd 583hp @6000 RPM. The cam should make power to 6500 RPM and since the Hemi's love RPM and hydraulic cams don't, we didn't pull any higher. The dyno pulls felt good with smooth power up to 6000. I wanted to be between 575-600 HP, and we seemed to achieve that. Gary seems to think we left some numbers on the table only pulling to 6K. All in all I'm okay with that.... Engine is going in my 70 Challenger with a Passon overdrive 4 speed, and a Dana with a 3.54 gear. So that'll be plenty of street pounding power for me!
