As we build the Vortech version of the KB/B1 with a goal of about 1200 HP I am thinking of the converter / tranny. I cannot talk with Kenny at PTC without him trying to talk me into putting in a glide. He would probably give me a killer deal since he is a Mopar man himself. I drive the car down the local 1/8 track and around the local back roads on nice days.

So anyone who has put one into an A body behind a BB, what is involved?

How is the rear of the tranny supported?

What is with the crank adapter for the flywheel, since I currently have an 8 bolt A fuel crank that needs to use an adapter for the 727 converter and a spacer between the block and the tranny.

What about a blanket, or one even needed if the tranny is built up for the job?

Which gear set?
