I currently race in IHRA with a crate motor combo that is IHRA-only. There is also Pure Stock for IHRA only and "regular" Stock for NHRA and IHRA. You are now allowed aftermarket seats in Stock like they have for SS, like Kirkey. As far as "best" combo, I like the idea of figuring out a class that doesn't have a lot of fast cars in it to minimize the potential heads-up runs. Finding an obscure combo that isn't heavily factored is also good, but difficult to find. It seems that the faster the car/class, the more consistent/predictable it is. That's why there are so many cars in the top half of the group.

I'm working on a Dodge Aspen wagon NHRA combo, but it's slow going due to money and time. Lot's of strict rules to go by. Lack of knowledge about Thermoquads have kept me away so far. But a friend will be helping me out in that area.
