In what ways is the Goodwin 5" better than the HEMI 99? Aren't the heads you use now a version of the HEMI 99? Was the HEMI 99 a billet block?

The Goodwin head was "based" off the IHRA 5" Hemi 99 head. I guess the same way everything is "based" off something before it. Being Billet, Goodwin was able to changed different angles throughout the head to help. The block is specifically made for those heads so everything lines up like its suppose to. When you look at the valve-train its amazing how straight everything looks. Even compared to the 5" 99 Engine I had before. Everything fits like it was made to fit (because it was lol). Goodwin has a Spintron and I think the engine was safely tested to operate without valve train failure past 11k.

Our other 5" used a Donovan block to fit the heads.
