The "factory" was toying with the idea back in the day as evident by this "factory photo"
Actually, that is a picture of the clay model...so that bumper in the picture isn't even metal.
Doesn't really matter the medium used, I think the intention was to have a body colored bumper, had they wanted chrome hanging on the clay mock up, I'm sure they would have used it
