I had to notch all eight pistons in the bracket motor I making, I hate to have to do that The motor is a 4.300 stroke 440 block with a 4.350 bore, custom Diamond pistons with the cam specs. provided to them. The intakes had over .200 V to P, the exhaust had zero on number one, it has a new exhaust valve, and .006 on number 6 with the origianl exhaust vavle, the other six pistons had similar V to P as number six did. This picture is the before notching I bought the valve notching tool and guide from Isky I had finished notching all the others when I thought of taking and posting this, look at number 5 in this picture for a comparision
Went through the same thing with Ross awhile back. I gave them all the specs/valve drop/etc. I still had to send them back for more cutting for depth AND radial clearance.
