I am following your build. I would stay with the 273 if it were my car. I think I have some standard bore pistons laying around. I also have some .060 forged pistons as well.




I'm really uncertain. I kind of want to save the 273 for another project. I was thinking something along the lines of an Early-A. Something like a cruiser Dart or Valiant wagon or a Trans Am "like" car for a 63-65 Dart or Barracuda.

They made .060" over pistons for the 273? Can the block handle that kind of bore? That definitely sounds interesting. You think you can make a 91 octane engine with those?
