I bet the stock motors failing are the fault of cheap oil, cheap filters and improver oil change intervals.

I bet some of the shifty shops don't even change filters when the do the oil. I've seen it before. I've seen motors go 10k intervals with synthetic and a good filter and look PRISTINE inside. Couple that with the fact that the hemi's suck oil from every possible place and you now have dirty oil that is even being consumed...contaminating everything.

All it takes is one big piece of metal or gunk plugging up the connecting rod to let it get hung up and break.

I've seen these motors shift at 6500 being raced every weekend for their whole lives on stock shortblocks and not have an issue.

The difference? People who are enthusiasts take better care of their oil and filters, and their motors don't have cruddy looking oil and stains inside of them....
