Anyone here ever cut XHD leafs or SS springs to lower the ride height?

I have a perfectly good working car as far as 60fts go and I want to mess it up lol.

What I have is 2800lb XHDs and I think they are +1s because the car sets WAY too high when I use the stock spring location. (springs are relocated)

The top hole in the spring mount is 1.5 inches higher than the stock location. This moves the instant center up in the chassis and I am getting a lot of anti squat/body separation. I have cal
tracs on it and it also makes the bars run uphill and at a steep angle, even with the front of the bar in the bottom hole. (6 degrees up)

You can see the body separation and bar angle at launch in this pic.

So I have this idea of trimming off the rear of the leafs on both sides an equal amount until I get the ride height lowered 1.5 inches, then drop the front of the springs back to the stock location.

I also have plans for spring clamps on the front half of the springs but thats another story.

Anyone ever trimmed/removed from the rear of the leafs to lower your car?

If so how much did you cut off?
